Chima McLean, CPGA Academy Director

Chima was one of three finalists nominated for Ontario PGA Teacher of the year in 2006. He spent five years honing his playing skills as a member of the Canadian Professional Golf Tour playing with such high profile PGA Tour players as Ian Leggatt and Mike Weir. Chima continues to compete at a high level winning the 1999 Ontario PGA Summer Championship. His engaging and creative teaching style enables him to relate as easily with beginners as he does with Tour Professionals. A member of the CPGA since 1988, Chima has attained the association's highest level of teaching accreditation. He was an instructor at the CPGA Accreditation Teaching Program and continues to instruct top Toronto area teaching and touring professionals.

Dave Cooke, CPGA Teaching Professional

In 22 years of playing golf, Dave achieved admirable success, placing in the top ten in the Canadian Junior Championship at 16 years of age, receiving the Academic All American award while attending university in Florida, and competing in the Ontario Amateur & Match Play Championships before turning pro in 2004. Since then he has worked under Jeff Hay at Virtually Perfect Golf and associated himself with some of the top teachers in the GTA.

Highlights of his career include:

• Teaching professional at Virtually Perfect Golf under the direction of Jeff Hay.
• Graduated from the Professional Golf Management program at Humber College.
• Attended Nova Southeastern University on a golf scholarship.
• Played in Provincial & National Championships as a junior and Provincial Championships as an amateur.

Jeff Hay, CPGA Teaching Professional

Over the past 25 years of working in the golf industry, Jeff has worked with and for some of the most influential and highly regarded names in the golf industry, such as Ben Kern, Tom Jackson and Mark Evershed.

Highlights of his career include:

• 18 years as a professional with a strong teaching background.
• Former Director of Instruction for Virtually Perfect Golf.
• Worked with Tom Jackson, the former Director of Instruction at the Clublink Academy.
• Worked 4 years with elite instructor Mark Evershed.
• Instructor for famed National G.C. Elite Junior Program.
• Former Head Pro at the National G.C. under the tutelage of Ben Kern.
